1. What is “Pranahuti” or transmission?
Pranahuti is the Sanskrit term for transmission. It literally means “to sacrifice one’s own life-force”. Transmission is the process of infilling the Divine grace.

2. How is it done? How is life-force breathed in?
It takes place from heart to heart. It is the job of the capable Master who applies His own Will Power. He cleans the impurities in the heart, removes the obstructions and breathes into the craving heart the Ultimate or the Original Power by forming and exercising such a will necessary for it.

3. Is it newly advent or present in olden days too?
It was present in the olden days, it is not new. It was known for only few sages and saints of yore.

4. How and why did this technique become almost extinct?
The main requirement of this technique is Pure mind. In olden days the teacher used to test a disciple for many years and when he felt that the disciple will not misuse the power, the teacher used to transmit to him. It was a heart to heart process. The extinct of this technique might be due to unworthy disciple and incapable guru.

There can be training without transmission which takes very longer period, whereas the training with transmission can bring in desired result within seconds and minute.

  • Acceptance and willingness to transform.

10. What is the importance of transmission?
  • Spiritual training or the attainment of the higher stages is only possible by the process of yogic transmission.
  • It is the utilization of the Divine force for the transformation of man.
  • It gives a new life to the sleeping condition of man and prepares man for the highest approach reserved for human beings.
  • It transforms the whole being shattering all the obstacles in the way of progress.
  • It strengthens the remembrance of our Original Home and loosens the bondage of present life. It takes us to the deeper and deeper levels of remembrance and our journey to the Source is firmly established.
  • Only through transmission it is possible to infuse in the aspirant the highest condition at once.

11. What is the mechanism involved in transmission?
  • Transmission takes place through the channel of a Pure Mind from one Ultimate i.e. at the Source (Master) to another ultimate i.e. at the receiver (seeker).
  • It works in the conversion of matter into energy and energy into Ultimate.
  • It is centrifugal in nature and it is manifested in centripetal way.

Different ways of transmitting are:

  • Para: through thought.
  • Pashyanti: through eyes.
  • Madhyama: through touch.
  • Vaikari: by talk.

13. How does transmission works on aspirant?
Transmission works as per the suggestion of the transmitter. The receiver usually has obstruction/network around ‘That’ in oneself which is responsible for the downward and backward movement of ‘That’. Transmission acts as a third force and removes the obstruction and brings about a change in the direction of that movement to upward and forward. The aspirant perceives the changes by the way of peace, calmness and lightness, if there is alertness, attentiveness and deservingness.

14. How to know the effectiveness of transmission?
The effectiveness of the transmission is known through transformation and progress. Transformation is physical and mental. Physical transformation is the ten maxims being inculcated in his behavior and dealings (Vyavahar) in one’s life. Mental transformation is moderation, regulation and balanced state of mind.
Progress is related to spiritual aspects of one’s being. Evolution of individuality to universality and universality to Divinity, Self-negated condition, state of Sahaj Samadhi are the some of the indication of spiritual progress.
